Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Life Stories by Edmund Grey at https://edmundgrey.com.
Last updated: March 11, 2026
1. Who we are
These Terms apply to the Service operated by Stratara Ltd.
Company: Stratara Ltd
Company number: 517197182
Registered address: Dan 14, Ness Ziona 7412110, Israel
Support: [email protected]
Privacy questions are handled under our Privacy Policy.
2. Definitions
- Customer / you: the person using the Service, including a purchaser or interviewee
- Story Subject: the person the story is about and who may be living or deceased
- Output: the generated story deliverables, including audio narration, written story text, cover or scene images where available, and related assets
- Customer Content: anything you provide through the Service, including memories, responses, recordings, names, dates, and correction text
- Listen Link / Listen Page: the shareable link-based page where the Output can be played and downloaded while available
3. What the Service is and is not
What it is
The Service turns your memories about the Story Subject into:
- A narrated audio story, often described as around 40+ minutes, though length can vary
- The written story text
- A downloadable audio file
- A shareable listen link
What it is not
The Service is a creative, AI-generated storytelling product. It is not:
- A certified biography
- An obituary service
- A genealogy report
- A historical reference work
- A legal record, medical record, or other professional advice
The Output may include interpretive choices, narrative framing, stylistic decisions, and, at times, artistic embellishment.
4. No account system; link-based access
There is no standard customer account dashboard. Access is delivered by email and via a Listen Link.
The Listen Link is public-by-link: anyone who has it can access the Output while the link remains active. You are responsible for deciding who receives the link and for any sharing you do.
5. The free interview, paid purchase, and contract formation
- Starting the interview is free.
- You only pay if you proceed through checkout after the interview.
- Payment is processed via Stripe Checkout, and we do not process or store your full card details.
A binding purchase contract is formed when:
- You successfully complete checkout
- Payment is accepted or confirmed
- We accept the order for processing, typically shown by an order confirmation and or the start of processing
We may refuse, cancel, or reverse acceptance of an order if we reasonably believe it involves:
- Fraud or suspected fraud
- Abusive use
- Prohibited or unlawful content
- A technical failure that makes fulfilment unreliable or impossible
- A pricing or promotion error
6. Pricing, promotions, and taxes
- The Service is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- Prices, including advertised prices such as USD 29 and returning-customer offers such as USD 18.99, may change over time.
- If taxes are applicable, they may be added at checkout where required.
Promo codes and special offers may:
- Expire
- Be limited to one user, household, or order
- Be modified or withdrawn
- Be cancelled if used fraudulently or in violation of these Terms
- Not be redeemable for cash unless required by law
7. Delivery timing and 30-day availability
We aim to deliver Output typically within 1 to 2 hours, and up to 24 hours, but timing depends on system load, third-party provider availability, quality checks, safety or abuse review, and technical delays.
Delivery timing is a goal, not a hard guarantee.
The Output and Listen Link are intended to remain available for 30 days after delivery, after which the Output may be deleted and the link may stop working.
If a corrected version is re-delivered, the 30-day availability window runs from that corrected delivery.
You should download and save the Output within that window. We do not promise permanent or no-expiration access.
8. Corrections and refunds
One free correction per story
The Service includes one free correction request per story, subject to these rules:
- Corrections are intended to fix issues such as factual mistakes, wrong names or pronunciations, missing key details, or major mischaracterisations.
- Correction requests are submitted via the Listen Page and are text-limited.
- A correction typically triggers re-processing of the story and re-delivery, including re-narration.
- After the free correction is used, additional changes are not guaranteed and may be refused or offered only at our discretion.
We may decline correction requests that are abusive, unlawful, technically infeasible, or inconsistent with the intended nature of the Service.
Refund remedy ladder
We want you to end up with a story you are happy to share. The normal remedy sequence is:
- Contact support within the request window if the story misses the mark
- We will normally offer the one free correction run with re-delivery first
- If the corrected version still does not reasonably resolve the issue, we will issue a full refund for that order
Request window
Refund and correction requests must be made within 30 days of delivery, or within the time the Listen Link remains active, unless a longer period is required by mandatory consumer law.
Abuse, fraud, and prohibited use
We may deny refunds or corrections where we reasonably believe there is:
- Fraud
- Chargeback abuse
- Repeated abusive requests
- Prohibited or unlawful Customer Content
- Material breach of these Terms
How refunds are issued
Refunds are issued back to the original payment method where possible. Timing depends on Stripe and your bank or payment provider.
9. Your responsibilities
This Service often involves information about other people, not just you. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- Authority and permissions: you have the right and authority, and any legally required permission, to provide Customer Content about the Story Subject and any other living people you mention.
- Lawful and respectful use: you will not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, fraudulent, abusive, or that violates privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or intellectual-property rights of others.
- Accuracy and accountability: you understand you are responsible for the Customer Content you provide and for the consequences of sharing the Listen Link.
- No unlawful personal data: if you are unsure whether you have permission to share certain personal information about a living person, do not submit it.
10. AI-generated output
You acknowledge and agree that:
- The Output is generated using AI systems based on your Customer Content and contextual research tools.
- The Output may include narrative structure, tone, and interpretive choices.
- We do not guarantee the Output will be perfectly complete, fully accurate, or free of errors, bias, or omissions.
- Pronunciations, names, and details may require correction.
You should not rely on the Output as a definitive factual record.
11. Intellectual property and content rights
A. Our IP
Stratara retains all rights in the Service, software, workflows, prompts, tools, underlying systems, site design, branding, and non-customer-specific assets.
B. Your Customer Content
You retain whatever rights you already have in your Customer Content.
You grant us a limited licence to use your Customer Content to:
- Operate the Service
- Process and generate the Output
- Deliver and support the Output, including corrections
- Prevent abuse and ensure safety
- Maintain and improve reliability of the Service
This licence is non-exclusive, worldwide, and limited to what is needed to provide and operate the Service.
C. Ownership of the Output
As between you and Stratara, you own your personalised Output.
This does not give you ownership of our platform, prompts, or generic systems used to produce it.
D. Your permitted use of the Output
You may access, download, keep, and share the Output for personal, family, memorial, or gift purposes.
E. Restrictions
You may not, and may not allow others to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to discover source code or underlying prompts or systems, except where prohibited by law
- Use the Service or Output to train or develop competing AI systems without our written permission
- Resell or commercialise the Service or Output as a product, including white-label resale, without our written permission
12. Acceptable use and enforcement
We may suspend or block access to the Service, including Listen Links, if we reasonably believe:
- You violated these Terms
- Your use is harmful, abusive, or unlawful
- Your use threatens the security or integrity of the Service
- We must do so to comply with law or third-party provider requirements
13. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers, including Stripe for payments and infrastructure, AI, voice, email, and image-generation providers.
- Third-party failures, outages, or changes may affect the Service.
- We are not responsible for issues caused by third parties beyond our reasonable control.
- Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s terms.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided as is and as available.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or permanent access.
- We do not guarantee a specific length, style, tone, or creative outcome.
- We do not guarantee factual completeness or perfect accuracy.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
15. Limitation of liability and indemnity
A. No indirect damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stratara will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or loss of data, even if foreseeable.
B. Liability cap
Stratara’s total liability for any claim relating to a specific order will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for that order and USD 50.
C. Non-excludable liability
We do not exclude liability where it cannot be excluded under law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct and certain statutory consumer rights.
D. Indemnity
If a third party makes a claim against Stratara arising from your Customer Content, your breach of these Terms, or your unlawful or abusive use of the Service, you agree to indemnify and hold Stratara harmless from losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses, including legal fees, arising from that claim, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, including Listen Links, as described in these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and disputes, will survive termination.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
A. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
B. Informal resolution first
Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [email protected] with a clear description of the issue and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.
C. Binding arbitration in Tel Aviv
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, disputes will be finally resolved by binding arbitration seated in Tel Aviv, Israel, conducted in English unless we agree otherwise, before a single arbitrator.
D. Carve-outs
Either party may go to court instead of arbitration for:
- Injunctive or equitable relief to protect intellectual property or prevent misuse
- Small claims matters where applicable law requires or permits use of a small-claims forum
E. Mandatory consumer rights
If you live in a jurisdiction that gives you non-waivable rights to bring claims in a local court or prohibits arbitration for certain consumer disputes, those mandatory rights are not overridden by this section.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Last updated date will change when we do.
Changes will apply going forward. For an already-paid order, the Terms in effect at the time of purchase generally apply to that order, unless a change is required by law or clearly benefits you.
19. Miscellaneous
- Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect
- Assignment: we may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with any policies expressly incorporated such as the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement for the Service
